Well I hate to point it out, but it has been far too many days since my last post. Let me tell you, I wish I could be blogging full-time, every day, but my schedule in no way, shape, or form will allow for that. To give you a little glimpse into my schedule recently: Last week I had an exam, two quizzes, one big paper, and a presentation. Then, over the weekend Clark and I moved to our new apartment.. we are still no where close to unpacked. This week, I have 5 midterm exams, work, and some major unpacking to finish. After Thursday night, I will be posting much more frequently!
So I'm sure you're sitting here wondering, "What's the big news?!". Well, I have decided to make a big decision and change for my future. Last week, I had the opportunity to interview at Bon-Ton headquarters to be in the buying offices. Although I had always thought Kohl's was a great fit, I did have my doubts about the specific position I would be going into. One thing led to another, and only 10 hours after interviewing, Bon-Ton called and offered me the position. So what does this mean?
Beginning September 8th, I will no longer be working at Kohl's headquarters, but instead I will be working at Bon-Ton! I am extremely excited about this opportunity, and think it's the perfect fit for me. Both companies have been incredible to work with, and I appreciate my time interning at Kohl's, but I'm excited about what lays ahead for my future at Bon-Ton.
To explain specifically what I'll be doing, I will be starting at the entry level position within the Buying Offices. This means I will be assisting both the buyer and planner in picking product assortment, marketing, and understanding the consumer and their needs. The office is in Milwaukee near where Clark and I are currently living.
That brings me to the 'news' that I have already announced. Clark and I moved! I've talked about this several times in the last couple months, but it has finally officially happened. We have moved, and that means I am decorating. With that news, comes exciting new Interior Design posts! Stay Tuned
Also, one last big announcement:
We're going to Europe! Tickets have officially been purchased, and in August we will be traveling to London, Italy, Greece, Amsterdam, and possibly Croatia. There will be tons of posts coming throughout the next 6 months as we get plans together, and then you will be able to follow along on our trip through my blog posts.
