Summer had started, and yet the fun hadn't quite begun. Within two days of graduating, everyone else was beginning their summer vacations. However, that was not what was in store for my summer. There are those students that walk at graduation, but have one or two more classes left. I'm not one of those people. I walked in the graduation ceremony, but had 8 classes to complete before graduating. So two days after the ceremony, my first 5 courses, first 15 credits, began. These classes are only 6 weeks, but we learn the same things as the normal 16 week semester courses. As you can imagine, free time has not really been in my vocabulary these past 6 weeks. A few other words not in my summer vocabulary? Fun, sleep, relaxation... & the list goes on. That was all until this past weekend. My first set of classes ended on Thursday, and we have done our best to have as much fun as possible since then. Friday evening we went out with some of our favorite people to one of our favorite restaurants for a birthday celebration dinner. Then I got to sleep in until lunch time today. Relaxation was definitely in my vocal. this morning! Today we ventured up to a great town in Wisconsin called Cedarburg. Every year, right around the time of our birthdays, they host an event called Strawberry Festival. For anyone who doesn't know, I absolutely love fruit, and strawberries are one of my favorites. Clark and I went with one of my dear friends and new roommate Kendall and her wonderful boyfriend, Colton. We walked around all afternoon and into the evening drinking strawberry sangria, eating strawberry shortcake, seeing adorable little girls in full strawberry attire, and shopping (no, strawberries had nothing to do with this, but I'll never turn down an excuse to shop). As you can see from the pictures, the place was absolutely packed. It was the perfect sunny day, and a great way to celebrate the fun-time that summer should be.
Tonight I end my night watching one of my favorite movies: SUPERSTARRR! "Are you aware that I am rubber, and you are glue, and whatever you say to me bounces off, of me, and sticks to you? So put that in your, back pocket." "Sometimes, when I get nervous, I stick my hands under my armpits and than I smell them like this!" A few of my favorite quotes for you to enjoy! On Monday I begin me second session of 6-week classes. However, this time around I will only be taking 3 classes. I'm going to do my best to incorporate all those summer vocabulary words I was forced to forget during the first session. I'll do my best to keep you all updated in these next few weeks as the summer continues on. In August we will be going back to Colorado to continue the wedding planning, and I will be posting all about the updates. Until then, stay tuned on Instagram and feel free to shop some of my newly found favorite stores as seen in my recent fashion posts. Check the bottom of each fashion post for a special discount code! :)
