I like to call myself an interior designer - I may not have gone to school for it, but it's without a doubt my passion. I've been lucky enough to learn from other designers around me and have been given opportunities to work in the industry even without formal training. I am still learning and growing with each new project, and I'm thrilled for what the future has to hold. My mom gave me a piece of advice that has stayed with me: find something that fulfills a need, brings me joy, & can pay the bills. Needless to say, I'm finally feeling like I'm headed in the right direction!
My husband's name is Clark but you'll often hear me just refer to his as husband. Honestly I'm still not over the fact that I get to call him that - it's only been a year, cut me a break. We have a small family that hope to grow someday, but for now our two dogs are everything we need.
My name is Catherine, otherwise know as Erin. I'm a twenty something Colorado native living here in Milwaukee, WI. I never thought I would end up here but I've grown to love it! I went to school here in Milwaukee for Business Marketing but ultimately realized it wasn't what I wanted to spend 40+ hours a week doing. I mean if it takes up more than half your life, you better enjoy it right?? I did know that I enjoy writing, especially about the things I am passionate about. I started my blog as an outlet for my love of writing and a way to share my style and stories with friends and family. I share tips on design and fashion & stories of traveling and relationships. As I looked at my career in Marketing, and realized it wasn't what I wanted, it dawned on me that design could be more than just something for me to blog about. This led me to taking a jump, leaving my comfortable job, and joining both the design team at West Elm and Mohindroo Designs.
We have a golden doodle named Bellie and a maltipoo named Buttons.. yes, that means together they are 'Bellie-Buttons'. We're into cheesy names obviously.
I've been incredibly blessed with the people in my life. Not only was I raised in a great family, but I also gained another great family when I married my husband. We are both surrounded by the greatest friends - half of them still in Colorado, the other half here in Milwaukee. We may not know where we'll end up long term or what we'll be doing, but I do know I can count on the people around us to always be there.
