Well it's technically spring here in Milwaukee, but the temperature sure doesn't seem to think so. We may finally be able to shed our coats but it's definitely still sweater weather. Lucky for me, there's nothing I love more than a great chunky sweater with a pair of chucks.
I have a feeling I've said that a few times before.
I've found myself falling in love with the many sweater trends going on and am absolutely a sucker for anything light pink. Although these sweaters aren't necessarily meant to keep you extra warm, they are a great example of making something practical, fashionable. So what're your thoughts on these three trends?
You're seeing them everywhere I'm sure! Sweaters, dresses, tanks and tees all now have the oh so popular choker and I've fallen right into the trap. I love this slouchy, one-size-fits-all sweater and the choker adds the perfect touch of feminism. In a season where nothing is flattering and everything is oversized, a cut-out neck line gives you that bit of sexy that your winter wardrobe often takes away. This sweater is easy to dress up or down and let's you stay comfortable and confident in any atmosphere.
Party in the Back
This is one of my favorite sweaters! The sleeves are full length but tight enough that you can easily roll them up, making it the perfect fall, winter, and spring sweater. This is something most chunky sweaters are missing. The low, scoop neckline keeps this sweater stylish and flattering in the front but that back is truly the show stopper! Not to mention the fact that it plays into trend #3.
This sweater easily checks off the 3 C's - Comfortable, Cute & Cheap... of course I mean cheap in price, not at all in quality!
The final trend that I'm loving is the lace up top. This is just as everywhere as the choker neckline and it's almost on the verge of being over done in my opinion. I still couldn't resist having this sweater and after seeing it all over Pinterest and looking everywhere, I finally found it here in MKE! Well I should say my friends found it and I quickly copied them.. To be honest I just love that it has the vintage hockey jersey look, but this sweater in particular is amazing because of it's length. I have it tucked up here, but it can easily be thrown on with a pair of leather leggings and knee high boots for a night out. Not only is this one comfortable, but it's also thick making it the most practical sweater of the bunch.
Overall each sweater has a unique twist and totally plays into the current trends. As the weather begins to warm up and we enjoy our last month or so of sweater weather, be sure to stay up to date with one or all of these great buys!
This is a representation of who I am, and a few of the things I love. I am excited to share with you a little bit about my life, and glad you're along for my journey!
